A NATIONWIDE ADVOCACY ORGANIZATION
WITH FAMILIES AS ITS SOLE FOCUS
BRINGING LIVED EXPERIENCE TO FAMILY SUPPORT
The Federation provides the only national certification for a parent/family peer workforce, known as Certified Family Peer Specialists™,
to provide support to other families who have children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges.
An Invitation from the new National Family Support Technical Assistance Center
In January, the National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC), SAMHSA's first family support focused Center of Excellence, hosted several Meet and Greet sessions to introduce the community at large to its team and partners and to share how the NFSTAC plans to serve families and the providers and organizations who support them.
Participants received a follow up survey to share their ideas about how the NFSTAC can best support families who have children - of any age - that experience mental health and/or substance use challenges during their lifetime.
If you were unable to attend a Meet and Greet session, they invite you to watch a recorded session and to complete the input survey on their website so you can offer your thoughts about how the NFSTAC can best serve families and the providers and organizations that support them.
NFSTAC invites the following individuals and groups to complete their survey.
Parents and Primary Caregivers
Professionals Supporting Families
Mental Health and Substance Use Organizations
Family-Serving System Partners
Advocates for Family Voice
