“Driving the Future: Utilization of Data for Advocacy and Sustainability”

A newly developed FREE course offered by the National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health

The most successful systems of care communities make decisions based on data during their development, governance, assessment and sustainability efforts and therefore family run organizations participating in the development, governance, assessment and sustainability of a system of care need to have the capacity for utilization of data to be effective advocates to advance and sustain structures for programs, practices and services. Here’s a great way to start building your capacity.

WHAT?
This course will include a six session virtual workshop, supplemented with web based support for on-going discussions, homework exercises, special coaching sessions as needed, and opportunities for community building among peers.

WHO?
The National Federation of Families is offering a six week interactive web-based learning opportunity for developing, newly formed or existing family run organizations associated with the Systems of Care Initiative.

WHY?
Our course objectives are:

• Participants will be familiar with effective family-driven use of data for advocacy and sustainability.
• Participants will learn how to access and assess data sources available to support their efforts.
• Participants will become familiar with political, economic, social and cultural influences.
• Participants will learn effective ways to deliver data-supported perspectives for advocacy and sustainability.

• July 20th: Tools for the Future: Next Steps

Your own home or office space, using WebEx technology and a private, course-specific website – all you need is internet access and a telephone.
