Ensuring that you have the right resources based on your role in your community is crucial to the development of your skill sets, as well as those around you.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

The Federation provides the only national certification for a parent/family peer workforce, known as Certified Family Peer Specialists™,

to provide support to other families who have children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges.

Gail Cormier to Join the NFFCMH Team

Following our earlier announcement that the National Federation of Families has been awarded SAMHSA's first National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC), we are excited to share that Gail Cormier will join the NFFCMH team on September 1, 2020 as the NFSTAC Project Director.

Gail brings over 25 years of experience providing national and statewide technical assistance and expertise working with families, youth and young adults. She is a proven national family leader with both professional and family-lived experience. Please read the full announcement linked above and join us in welcoming Gail.

WHO COVID-19

The National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health is a national family-run organization linking more than 120 chapters and state organizations focused on the issues of children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs and their families. It was conceived in Arlington, Virginia in February, 1989 by a group of 18 people determined to make a difference in the way the system works.
