Get Involved: Start a Chapter, State Organization and/or Partner Organization in Your Community
The National Federation of Families currently has over 120 chapter, state, and partner organizations providing the groundwork at the local, state and national levels. These chapter, state and partner organizations are our eyes and ears to the issues facing children and youth with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges and their families, at each organization's respective levels. Through tjhe organizations' involvement as a chapter, state or partner organization, we are able to utilize their call for action to elicit change in the systems at the national level. Through their support, we are also able to develop new resources and tools that we then give back to our chapters for their continued growth and empowerment.
As we continue to grow our chapter, state, and partner organizations, so will our ability to help every region of the country into the issues that they are looking to tackle. If you are a family and/or partner organization looking to start something in your community, please read below to get an understanding of the different levels of membership we offer and what that entitles you to.
Chapter / State Organization (Cost: $100 or $250 Annually, Respectively)
As noted, we have dozens upon dozens of chapter and state organizations that do great work at the local and state levels respectively. In addition to the benefits given to individual membership, we also offer our chapters and state organizations their own special set of benefits as well, including the following:
- A special chapter and state organization website where each organization can create their own space to collaborate and grow their strengths.
- Exclusive access to resources and tools made specifically for chapters and state organizations.
- Individualized support and TA via telephone/email for the most frequently asked questions.
- Increased networking opportunities.
- And more.
Membership to become a chapter and/or state organization requires an application. Due to the somewhat lengthier process to become a chapter and/or state organization, we do not offer an online version of our application. You can also contact our membership coordinator, Marion Mealing, at mmealing@ffcmh.org [9], 240-406-1487 for a copy of the application or to update your current listing if you are already a chapter and/or state organization. Please note that there is an additional step for becoming a state organization that is outlined in the application.
