Action Alert: Advocate for the Affordable Care Act

The success of the Affordable Care Act is critical to the future of millions of Americans living with mental health and substance use challenges.
This health reform law expands people's access to treatment by preventing health insurers from denying coverage for children and adults with preexisting medical conditions. It also requires that mental health and substance use disorders be covered under plans offered to small businesses and individuals. More than 2.5 million young adults have gained coverage because the law allows individuals to remain on their parents' insurance plan until age 26.
The National Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health has joined a friend of the court brief (called "amicus") arguing in support of the law. You can help strengthen our work by speaking out in support of health reform. Here's what you can do:
